Announcements!

December 15, 2010

At our Bridges Out of Poverty training last week, we made a number of announcements at the end of the day. In case you forgot, here they are!

Google Group – It exists! Thanks, Julia Tabbut for helping set up and manage the group! Remember that non-Google users can use it as a “listserv” by emailing mlc-vista-2010-11@googlegroups.com. That email will go to all members of the Google Group.  If you haven’t yet received an invite to the group, please email Julia!

InterCorps Council of Minnesota is a group of AmeriCorps members whose vision is to promote engagement, communication, collaboration, and education and to empower AmeriCorps and the Minnesota community.

  • ICC MN Website
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • MLK Day January 17, 2011. This is an AmeriCorps Signature Service Day, which means AmeriCorps members across the nation will be making it a Day ON, not a Day Off! ICC MN is organizing service projects for members across the state, so keep an eye out for more information about this great event.

Progress Report

  • Next report will be released (sent to your supervisors via email) on January 1; the report must be submitted by 5pm on January 15.
  • Katie and I are tweaking the questions and forms to make them more user-friendly. We will email all VISTAs and Supervisors when these resources are updated.
  • Progress Report Google Document – This is a summary of your first progress report. Look for it in your email!

Mileage Reimbursement for October-December 2010 is due by January 7. (Tip: I would recommend you submit it before the holidays so you don’t forget!) Questions about mileage reimbursement? Read the Mileage Reimbursement Policy or ask Kimberly for further clarification.

Future Training dates: February 4, 2011 and April 8, 2011Remember: These trainings are mandatory for MLC VISTAs!
