Progress Reporting

Monthly Reports

Found here.

Informal monthly reports are to be submitted by the 1st of the following month of which you are reporting. For example, the monthly report for August should be submitted by September 1st.

These reports are meant to allow you to reflect upon your VISTA year. It can serve as a vessel by which you can easily communicate any praises or frustrations you are having with your placement. You will also receive this report in your inbox, which will also help serve as a journal to reference when time comes for your Quarterly Report.

Only six areas are required (Name, Site Name, Email, Reporting Period, Rate Your Satisfaction, and Accomplishments & Stories) to be filled out and should only take a few minutes, but it recommended that you take advantage of filling out the other fields.

Quarterly Reports

Reports for your site are due quarterly. These reports are submitted to the MLC, which are then compiled and sent off to CNCS (Corporation for National and Community Service).

The information that you present in your report is vital to AmeriCorps VISTA’s continued existence. The anecdotal stories you share are the best ways we have of communicating the impact that VISTAs have in their community, so please invest time and energy into writing the most effective reports possible.

Due on:

Oct 15, 2011 (reporting on 8/8/2011 – 9/30/2011)
Jan 15, 2012 (reporting on 10/1/2011 – 12/31/2011)
April 15, 2012 (reporting on 1/1/2012 – 3/31/2012)
July 15, 2012 (reporting on 4/1/2012 – 6/30/2012)

A list of general information you will need to collect can be found here:

Progress Report Checklist

In addition, each project has been assigned to at least one service category (children’s literacy, adult literacy, etc.), within which specific information will need to be reported.  To find your assigned category(ies), view this document:

Site Categories

Based on the category under which you fall, you will need to complete one or more of the following Goal Progress Forms. You should have received a site-specific form that caters to your particular goals, but these are the general forms for your reference and utilization:

Adolescent Literacy
Adult Literacy
Afterschool Programs
Children’s Literacy
Early Literacy
Health Literacy
Library Services

End of Service Report

You’ll do this at the end of your service.
